Holidays in Sussex
Sussex caravan holidays and holiday parks
The Victorians were particularly fond of Sussex – Brighton and Hastings were their favourite resorts. But today, Camber Sands and Bognor are probably the names that we'd think of first for seaside holidays in Sussex. And why wouldn't you seek out the seaside here? Sussex holidays really do get more sunshine – and less rainfall – than most parts of the UK. Bognor's officially the sunniest place in England (with nearly 2,000 hours of sun each year, in case you're wondering).
Our Church Farm park is close to West Wittering, one of the top tourist beaches in Britain. Miles of golden sand, in a county that's famed for pebbly shorelines, line the clean clear water, both surrounded by oodles of family-friendly fun. Our Combe Haven park is just up the road from historic Hastings – appropriately named town of Battle's only a little further afield.
Places to visit in Sussex
Miles of golden sand, in a county that's famed for pebbly shorelines, line the clean clear water, both surrounded by oodles of family-friendly fun. But Sussex isn't all beach resorts; there's also beautiful rolling countryside, in the form of the South Downs and the Sussex Weald. The South Downs form over 1,600 square kilometres of natural beauty. There's also plenty of castle action, with Bodiam Castle, in particular, being the real deal. Studying its portcullis, spiral staircase and battlements you'll be transported to a medieval world. In a final contrast, fashionistas can get their fill of fashion in Brighton and Camber Sands. These funky towns are full of quirky boutiques, rock and roll history, and pop-up shops and restaurants.
