Things to do in Bognor Regis

Brilliant Bognor Regis is one of the first places we think of for a stunning break by the seaside. This Sussex town has been welcoming visitors from far and wide for generations, becoming one of the UK's most famous towns for a holiday by the beach.

We're down the road from this terrific seaside town at our Church Farm Holiday Park, a stellar place to stay. A mere four miles separates our serene Sussex spot with the things to do in Bognor Regis, making the town the place to be when you fancy a day away from our holiday park. Let’s go through our favourites.

Bognor Pier

Bognor Pier

Address: The Esplanade, Bognor Regis PO21 1SY

Bognor Pier was constructed in 1865 and it remains one of the key things to do in Bognor Regis to this very day. A piece of history that edges into the English Channel, the pier was awarded Grade II-listed status for its unique heritage.

Major investment and restoration have made this century-old structure modern, and today it hosts the Legends Sports Bar with a rooftop terrace, a coffee shop, fish and chips and the Neptunes Amusement Park and Arcades. There’s a whole load of fun for the whole family, and it’s one of the first places our guests at Church Farm head to for a bit of time off park.

Waterloo Square crazy golf

Waterloo Square crazy golf

Address: Waterloo Square, Bognor Regis PO21 1TE

There’s nothing like a game or two with the family while you’re away by the seaside, and Waterloo Square’s crazy golf gives you just that. Located just opposite the pier, it’s one of the best things to do in Bognor with a range of holes that will keep you all entertained from start to finish.

This fun-filled course is suitable for all abilities, so it doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a budding Tiger Woods, you’ll have a blast! Waterloo Square is a lovely place to sit back and relax in itself, and if you fancy another challenge, try out the bowling green that’s neighbours with the crazy golf. Both are open throughout the day during the warmer months, so you can simply turn up and play.

Picturedrome Cinema

Address: 51 Canada Grove, Bognor Regis PO21 1DW

You can’t really go wrong when you find a historic place like this that shows all of the latest films out on the big screen at a fraction of the price of a regular cinema. Tickets here are just a few quid, and there are four screens showing all the latest movies.

This isn’t a just a cheap place by the sea though. You’ll be sat back in a building constructed in 1885, full of grandeur and Grade II-listed. The seats are comfortable, and the snacks are tasty, so check out their website, pick a film and enjoy one of the best things to do in Bognor Regis.

Hotham Park

Hotham Park

Address: Upper Bognor Rd, Bognor Regis PO21 1HW

Hotham Park adds a lovely dose of greenery to the heart of Bognor Regis. It’s named after Sir Richard Hotham, the individual who really started the story of Bognor off 1792. The park sits on the site of Hotham Park House, which played residence to the man himself until his death just seven years after its foundation in 1799.

Today, the park is a great place for a picnic with the family, and the historic can be visited too. There are loads of things to do here too, with the park hosting a miniature railway, mini golf and a café for a whole load of refreshments. It’s the perfect rest stop for a foray around Bognor Regis.

Bognor Regis Museum

Bognor Regis Museum
Bognor Regis Beach: from sleepy fishing area to tourism magnet

Address: 25-27 West St, Bognor Regis PO21 1XA

Find out more about Bognor Regis’ transformation from sleepy fishing village into tourism mecca at Bognor Regis Museum. Touching on the work of Sir Richard Hotham, the museum documents events from his vision of the town to the regeneration of the 21st-century.

The museum also looks further back in time, with rocks and fossils from Bognor and the neighbouring area put into great context through the museum’s exhibitions. The museum attracts around 10,000 visitors per years, making it one of the top things to do in Bognor and the surrounding Sussex coast.

Marine Park Gardens

Address: 4 King's Parade, Bognor Regis PO21 2QY

Marine Park Gardens is in the west of Bognor Regis, even closer to us at Church Farm Holiday Park and great first place to stop at in Bognor, or relax and unwind at on your back from an action-packed day out. Beautiful gardens, an 18-hole putting green and a beachfront location combine to produce one of the loveliest green spaces on the Sussex coast.

The adjoining West Park is another great place to bring the kids, and with the beginning of Bognor Beach just steps away from Marine Park Gardens, the area is one of the best things to do in Bognor Regis.
