There's plenty of fish to catch in our lakes, among bream, chud, pike, perch, roach, common and golden rudd as well as tench. There are also common, crucian and mirror carp. Species vary by park, but we’ve seen some fish reach a massive 30lb!
Coarse, freshwater and specimen angling are the three types of fishing that you can partake with us. Fishing season handily runs from March to November, facilities vary park with most having a catch-and-release policy, but some will let you keep your haul until the end of the day before you weigh it and set it free.
Bring your own equipment or rent rods, reels and bait from our handy hiring service. Just bring your rod licence, enquire about fishing to a member of staff, hire anything you need and head on down to the lake. Find out more about where you can hire in our park list below.
