Three great things about Northumberland
A rural landscape like no other
As England’s least crowded area, Northumberland really is the epitome of peace and quiet, so much so that Northumberland National Park covers a huge area spanning 25% of the entire county.
Enchanted offshore islands
The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is accessed by a causeway that reveals itself when the tide is low, and the Farne Islands are a sanctuary to wildlife. What’s even better? Both sets of islands are a stone’s throw from our holiday parks!
The remnants of Roman history
Hadrian’s Wall is a physical reminder of the historic border between Roman England and Celtic Caledonia. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is reason enough to visit Northumberland with us.
Northumberland National Park covers a quarter of the whole county, stretching from the Scottish border, and is bursting with beautiful landscape to explore. There are countless landmarks to discover too: take your pick from Hadrian's Wall and the famous castles in Alnwick, Bamburgh and Lindisfarne.

What our team and owners love about Northumberland
Haggerston Castle is a great site. The staff, owner facilities and discounts, location, and accessibility for our disabled son are all brilliant.
There are numerous famous castles in the area to explore. My personal favourite is Dunstanburgh Castle. Take a walk along the coast on the way to visiting! On your way back head to Craster Arms for a lovely lunch.
Take a trip on the Heatherslaw Light Railway for a short but awe-inspiring journey from Ford to Etal. When you reach Etal, visit the castle and pop in for a nice treat at the cafe or pub.

All three host events throughout the calendar, in this, England’s northernmost county.
Our Haggerston Castle Holiday Park is a prime place to escape the hustle and bustle, sitting in rural Northumberland opposite the idyllic Holy Island. Berwick Holiday Centre is one of the northernmost points of England, with easy access to both Berwick-upon-Tweed and the delights of the Scottish border region. Both holiday parks sit along the North Sea coast, an idyllic place to explore all-year round.

The park is suitable for pushchairs and there's a buggy-friendly walkway down to the play park and down to the beach.
The park is mostly flat with a small incline at the Golf Village.
