Things to do in the region
We’ve got two static caravan holiday parks in Scotland – one to the east, and one to the west. On the eastern side, beside the Firth of Clyde, you’ll find Craig Tara. An hour from Glasgow, this part of Ayrshire is often known as Burns country (named after Robert Burns, the poet who was born near here – it’s an inspiring place). Step out of your caravan on a clear evening, and you’ll be able to see all the way over to the Isle of Arran. Look really closely, and you might see a mountain peak poking out through the clouds. Or you may even glimpse the mysterious standing stones. It’s all too easy to while away your days with a book, listening to the gentle ebbing and flowing of the tide. But drag yourself away for a day, and you’ll find plenty to explore outside the park.
