Three things to do on a weekend in Northumberland

    1. Visit Berwick

A short walk away from our Berwick site, or a short drive from Haggerston Castle, the town of Berwick-on-Tweed is well worth exploring. The most northerly town in England, it has medieval remains, a sandy beach and plenty of shops and cafes.

    2. Explore Holy Island

The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is steeped in history and is a beautiful spot for a day out. The tidal island is home to a castle, priory and harbour, as well as a beach, wine shop and cafes.

    3. Discover Bamburgh

Home to another coastal castle, Bamburgh also boasts a lovely beach and is a great spot for water sports. You’ll also find a museum, plenty of cafes and some great walking routes.
