Three of the best beaches in Northumberland

    1. Bamburgh Beach, Bamburgh

There's no better backdrop to your day at the beach than a majestic coastal castle! Bamburgh Castle and its surrounding beach have been playing host to people for centuries. While it can get a bit windy, when the weather is calm, the beach is a delight for families to relax. And you can always take a break from the beach to explore the beautiful castle itself.

    2. Berwick Beach, Berwick-upon-Tweed

Easily accessed from our Berwick Holiday Park, the scenic beach in Berwick-upon-Tweed is lovely and sandy, with atmospheric cliffs around it. Combine a visit here with a walk around the pretty town, or dabble in a spot of fishing from the pier.

    3. Spittal Beach, Spittal

Across the River Tweed is lovely Spittal Beach, which has a promenade with ice cream stands, amusements and beautiful views of the cliffs at Berwick. You might even spot some local wildlife - seals and dolphins have been known to stop by.
