Since the village opened in 1963 the park has continued to expand the number of features on display. This spacious beach boasts fine gardens and parks, some dating from the town's Victorian heyday. A sea wall and Queens Drive back Exmouth's long sandy beach. There is a wide promenade lined with shops restaurants and pubs. The beach is cleaned both mechanically and manually on a daily basis in the summer and monthly in the winter. Exmouth beach is perfect for those who enjoy lots of activites like Swimming; fishing; jet skiing; surfing; windsurfing; sailing and boat trips. Surf boards and conoes are available to hire. Zoning in place for jet skis. There is also a SLSGB Surf Life Saving Club at this beach. Exmouth is a gateway for walking the Dorset and East Devon World Heritage Coast site, along the South West Coast Path to Sandy Bay/Budleigh. Bird watchers can walk to the estuary bird hide. Dogs are only allowed in restricted areas between May 1st - September 30th. Pay parking availble for over 1.000 vehicles. MCS recommended for excellent water quality. European designated bathing water. RNLI life guarded between May 24th - September 7th. A sandy beach backed by high cliffs with direct access from Devon Cliffs. Part of a long strip of sand which at low tide is connected to Exmouth. Sandy Bay is perfect for bathing; walking; rock pooling and various water sports. Enjoy local coastal walks either along the beach or using the coast path. Nearby Orecambe rocks mark the start of the Jurassic coast world heritage site which stretches to Studland bay in Dorset. Dogs not allowed between May 1st - September 30th.
