P!ssed Up Panto – Jack & The Beanstalk

Where: Babbacombe Theatre, Torquay

When: 20 April

Imagine if pantomimes were made just for adults, with no kids in the audience... The Ultimate Adult Panto is back, and this year P!ssed Up Panto will be performing the classic story, Jack & The Beanstalk. Get prepared for side-splitting laughter and plenty of life-long memories.

Salcombe Crab Festival

Where: Island Street, Salcombe

When: From 30 April

Head to Salcombe for a festival dedicated to the famous brown crab caught off the South Devon coast. Filled with cooking demos, crab-picking masterclasses and crab pot making, you’ll leave the festival ready to get your pincers on some crabs!

Devon County Show

Where: Westpoint, Exeter

When: 16 May

Tractors, animals, food, music and dog shows, the Devon County Show is filled with fun and activities for you and the kids (or kids at heart). Set over three days, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the whole County Show and revisit your favourite parts.

Pigstock

Where: The Big Sheep, Bideford

When: 20 May

BMX bike stunts, delicious bites from around the globe and plenty of activities to keep your little ones entertained – Pigstock is North Devon’s friendliest family festival! And you’ll even get free entry to the Big Sheep Family Attraction – what a bargain.

Sidmouth Biodiversity Festival

Where: Sidmouth & Sid Valley, Exeter

Sidmouth Biodiversity Festival is celebrating its second year running, with a wide range of activities. From wildflower walks, new release book talks, and plenty of workshops to keep you busy, the festival is the perfect way to explore the beautiful Sidmouth area.

GoldCoast Oceanfest

Where: The Limekiln Field, Croyde

When: 21 June

Big enough to create a lively atmosphere, but small enough to not be overwhelming, the GoldCoast Oceanfest is one to add to your Devon trip! Exhilarating surf, eclectic and relaxing music, locally sourced food and plenty of action-packed sports, it’s the perfect to keep everyone laughing all day long.

Mid Devon Show

An award-winning show filled with local food, nonstop entertainment and a deep dive into the local history. The Mid Devon Show is a perfect way to celebrate everything that Devon is about.

The Honiton Show

Where: Honiton Showground, EX14 3EW

When: 3 August

One of the largest in the country, the Honiton Agricultural Show is a showcase of some of the best local farming, produce, crafts and rural skills. With plenty of activities, demonstrations, livestock and entertainment, there’s plenty to keep the whole family occupied all day.

Torbay Pride

When: 7 September

A free one-day event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in Torquay, the Torbay Pride is set to be bigger and better in 2024. With a main stage and plenty of acts to keep you entertained, that’s another day of your trip planned out for you!

Tavistock Goose Fair

Where: Town Centre, PL19 0AU

When: The second Wednesday of October

Dating back to the early 12th Century, this fair is tried and tested. Market traders come from all over the country to sell their wares and provide entertainment for the crowds. Stalls, sideshows, fairground rides and plenty of places to grab a bite are set up every year for you to enjoy.
