Just a personal review of our time here at Thornwick bay for anyone looking or interested as honestly we didn’t know what to expect as we’ve never been here before. Previously I’ve done Haggerston castle as it’s closer to home and as a kid we did primrose valley a lot too. We’re from Durham so it’s quite a drive here with kids but I’d say after our week here it’s definitely worth it. We chose this park as a family with a mixture of different needs, most of us are autistic (varying in severity) or have ADHD or both. We knew Thornwick bay was heavily recommended as a quieter and less stressful park. I booked a silver caravan through haven, with my partner and daughter, We were placed in number 9 Evestone, absolutely lovely caravan, I’ve never even seen a caravan with a bath before but I was so relieved after walking so much to have that option! (Especially at 38 weeks pregnant) 😂 The staff on park have been amazing from the very beginning, remembering the children from activities, taking extra time to interact with them and us, it makes a huge difference to kids with ASD/ADHD to feel included and not rushed or overwhelmed when doing activities by having staff who are happy and helpful and never once made us feel like we were taking too long despite being the last to leave pretty much every activity we did 😅 The lady in the shop was absolutely lovely and helpful and again we never felt rushed even when we were stood far too long trying to pick things with a very hyper 6 year old. Night time entertainment although didn’t entertain any of our kids as none of them are really interested (they loved the shop full of flashy stuff however) we were able to get seated on any of the nights that we attended which again is unheard of in other parks we’ve been to before. The security staff are lovely which is a huge difference from a previous experience we’ve had at another park, they interacted with the kids and us each night, we never felt intimidated or uncomfortable and neither did the kids. Arcade staff were lovely when my daughter was just slightly short for something she wanted to redeem with her tickets, the man at the counter let her have it anyway, again not something we would have expected at all we just planned to go back and try to win some more tickets but he made her day. The arcades are definitely smaller than most parks but the variety was perfect to entertain my 6 year old, she’s done everything at least once or twice and still isn’t bored 😅😂 The pool facilities are so clean it was my biggest worry after being at another park that unfortunately wasn’t maintained as well, this park absolutely is the opposite, the pool was clean, the changing rooms clean, staff were very friendly and very aware of the kids we didn’t feel over packed in the pool at all either which was great. The restaurant food was lovely every time we went, always hot, staff were great. We never waited longer than 20 minutes for food at any point and we ate out multiple times different days. Toilets were kept very clean again too. Literally no complaints at all, the outdoor seating was great for food on sunny days where my daughter could play with the other kids in the sand pit area without being too far away. The amount of people who have dogs here too and yet not once have I witnessed any dog poop being left, everyone’s been really considerate, the entire park has been so clean and well maintained. During a little medical incident again the staff were as helpful as they possibly could be and went out of their way to help and make sure we had everything we needed. We have absolutely loved our time here and I think this park is absolutely amazing and anyone considering coming here should absolutely do so.

We stayed for four nights, lovely well kept caravan site with access to the cliff top walk along the coast. Stunning views of the sea and cliffs on the doorstep. They also have a lovely walk adjacent to the site around fields next to a fishing lake. Great for me and our dog however we didn't use any of the facilities on site because you have to sit outside with the dog.

We had a lovely stay at Thornwick Bay Haven. The entertainment was really good and there was always something to enjoy in the evenings. The area itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and plenty to explore. We especially loved visiting the lighthouse where we were lucky enough to see seals on the beach, such a special experience. There are so many beautiful walks nearby, making it perfect if you enjoy being outdoors and taking in the scenery. The swimming pool was great and our daughter absolutely loved it, along with the Seaside Squad activities which kept her entertained throughout our stay. Overall, a really enjoyable trip with something for everyone, we’d definitely come back.

The holiday park and accommodation exceeded our expectations. It's peaceful and close to nature reserves, beaches. There are shops on site for essentials (although we didn't go to them so can't comment) a short drive towards the Lighthouse where you can see seal families/babies! Plenty of sea birds at Bempton Cliffs (£8) Gannetts and Puffins. Bring binoculars though for Puffins though! We didn't sadly

We had an amazing stay at Thornwick Bay Holiday Park, definitely one of the best holiday parks in Yorkshire! The park is spotless, well laid out, and really easy to get around. The location is perfect, with beautiful surroundings and plenty to see and do nearby. Our caravan was in a great location, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool was excellent, and the entertainment team really made the holiday special. Huge credit to Charlie, Chloe, Josh, Isla, and Colby. Charlie in particular was brilliant and had everyone laughing! We’ll 100% be coming back and already can’t wait for our next visit.
