Basking in the sun during the warmer months is one thing, but it’s often summer holiday activities that create the greatest summer holiday memories.
At Haven, we’re incredibly passionate about getting all the family into the great outdoors. We’ve lost count of the times guests have got in touch saying that we’ve started them off on a new hobby! And don’t worry if the summer sun hasn’t come out to play – our parks are also equipped with great all-weather sessions to keep you warm and dry. Here is our definitive list of the best five activities for a stay during the summer holiday.
Cycling
We all remember the magical first time we managed to ride our bike without stabilisers, and a Haven park is the perfect place for your little ones to make their own childhood memories with you by their side.
We can’t think of a better way to explore the scenic coastline around our parks than on two wheels. Don’t have your own? Don’t worry! 11 of our parks offer bike hire, and with these smashing new models fully serviced by our partner Halfords, quality is guaranteed. Our balance bike lessons for little ones have started many childhood bicycle journeys, and the great news is our bikes are available to hire, too.
Archery
Historically used for hunting and combat, archery has become one of the most sought-after summer activities on our parks. The tribesman of Central Asia that founded archery mounted on their horses could never have guessed that they were sowing the seeds for a favourite summer activity by the British seaside!
With help from our expert instructors, you’ll become an archery aficionado in no time! Our lessons give all ages a strong arm and steady eye with the bow. All that’ is left to do is draw back and hit the bullseye.
Football
Does anything beat the beautiful game? Maybe a kickabout by the seaside! Our parks are perfectly positioned for you to bring a ball and practice your skills. We’re not just talking about a game of football just steps from your accommodation on beautiful sandy beaches, our parks also have Astroturf and carpeted pitches for you to play on. Whether you’re Team Ronaldo or Team Messi, you can try to match them come rain or shine on these all-weather surfaces.
Our pitches don’t just play host to some legendary games, they’re also where our Leisure team host friendly matches, complete with a referee. We play for fun, and all abilities are welcome.
Golf
Golfing with us comes in all shapes and sizes, making for a fantastic summer holiday activity regardless of age or ability. We’re committed to making golf one of your go-to ways to enjoy a break at the seaside, and that’s why we have three different types of courses for all the family to enjoy.
Our crazy golf is a classic pastime for friendly competition with the loved ones. Each hole is guaranteed to surprise and entertain. Adventure Golf is another park favourite, adding to the enamour, and even more crazy and exciting with more twists and turns than a dance routine! Plus, we couldn’t forget about the purists out there, with several pitch and putts and nine-hole courses for you to play a proper round with your clubs.
Tennis
It’s an activity synonymous with summer in the UK! Whether you’re inspired by Andy Murray’s forehand, Roger Federer’s backhand or simply Wimbledon’s strawberries and cream, swap a day at the All-England Club for a spot of friendly competition at one of our park’s tennis courts.
Whether you have all the fancy racquets and balls like the professionals or want to hire some from us and get to grips with this entertaining sport for the first time, our courts are open to you. They’re at a special selection of parks dotted up and down the UK.

Holiday home price is for a new 3-bedroom Willerby Ellerton Extra holiday and includes siting, connections and standard accessories.
From 12 July 2024 the holiday home price is reduced from £37,995 to £33,995 and will remain at this price until all available stock is sold.

Free 2024 site fees when you buy a Haven holiday home

A credit equivalent to the value of your site fees due during the 2024 season will be applied to your account balance on completion of your purchase for use against your running costs e.g. utilities, after-sale add-ons e.g storage boxes or site fees. Site fees from as little as £125 a month with Let2offset at Burnham-on-Sea
Let2offset is a contractual lettings product that offers eligible owners a guaranteed letting income at a preferential rate (calculated each year) in exchange for a stipulated number of letting breaks. It also allows eligible owners to pay their site fees and receive their letting income in 12 equal monthly instalments; the monthly site fee amount charged by Haven will be after deduction of the letting income.
‘Site fees from as little as £125 a month with Let2offset’ is available at Burnham-on-Sea. The letting income received will vary by make, model and location. The monthly site fee payment does not include running costs e.g. utilities, rates & insurance. Offer is subject to availability.

Modelled assumptions on expected annual site fee and letting income charges over the 7-year lettable life of the Atlas Sahara 3 Bed indicate that under Let2offset it is anticipated that these customers will continue to receive a monthly credit during this period, however, this is not guaranteed. The letting income received will vary by make, model and location. The monthly site fee payment does not include running costs e.g. utilities, rates & insurance.
“Make no site fee payments when using Let2offset until 2031” is applicable to new and existing customer purchases of new Atlas Sahara 3 Bed or equivalent or superior grade holiday home purchases made through Haven where customers have also signed up to Haven’s Let2offset contract. It is not applicable to private sales and cannot be used in conjunction with our free Site Fee promotion. It is available across 40% of eligible Parks and applies when letting a new Atlas Sahara 3 Bed holiday home (or equivalent or superior grade for 15 weeks.
An example of how “Make no site fee payments when using Let2offset until 2031” operates under Let2offset is the purchase of an Atlas Sahara 3 Bed holiday home at Primrose Valley with a monthly site fee of £585.00 (includes purchasing discount of £45) and monthly letting income of £803.67. The monthly difference equates to £218.67, which will be credited to the owner's account. Both letting income and site fees are subject to yearly pricing reviews and the monthly site fee costs and letting income shown in the example are based on 2024 figures.
