We’ve all been there. The weather looks promising the whole week, you book a break at the seaside and then the heavens open. The kids still need entertaining without getting soaked.

Don’t fear, our parks put on all kinds of indoor activities to keep youngsters of all ages engaged and occupied. We’re passionate about fostering an environment where kids can learn, grow and thrive, with a roof over their head if the weather says so! With this in mind, we’ve compiled a list of the best indoor activities for kids. These enticing experiences are sure to keep the younger members of your family entertained, come rain or shine.

Coastal Sand Bottles

Coastal Sand Bottles

We all love a bit of art, and what better way to celebrate the sea than by creating your own coastal sand bottle? Kids can simply choose a bottle and fill it with different layers of coloured sand. A label can be designed and attached, making it a perfect gift or souvenir from your break. One of the best indoor activities for kids is also one that will last long on your mantelpiece.

Pic n Bobble Pottery

Pic n Bobble Pottery

Our creative studios come to life when the wintery weather comes out, and Pic n Bobble is one of our younger guest’s favourite activities hosted here. The pottery possibilities are endless. Little ones can create anything using our special foam clay, with fun party animals being a consistent choice. The best news for parents: the foam clay dries very quickly so you can all take your creations away with you there and then, minus the mess!

Story and Paint

Story and Paint

Not just one of the best indoor activities for kids, but arguably the most engaging too. Our rangers cleverly combine stories and painting into a creative masterpiece. Your kids listen to a story in the Pic ’n’ Paint or Creative Studio before using their imagination to paint a potted character from the tale. And of course, they can take their creation away with them.

Mask and Bobble

Who doesn’t love a mask? This creative session gives the kids to put their own stamp on one. We’ve had some incredible designs over the years, with this activity really unlocking some artistic talent! Kids can choose from a range of themed masks from lions to princesses and bring them to life with colourful foam clay. They’ll love showing you their creation, leaving you all with a souvenir to remember you stay with us. One of the best indoor activities for sure!
