    Why you'll love Primrose Valley...

Primrose Valley Holiday Park is one of our biggest - and every last inch is brimming with family fun. Kids and grown-ups alike will love our indoor swimming pool, packed with splashing features including a multi-lane water slide. If you prefer to take it outdoors there’s the heated pool and direct access to a sandy beach, or thrillseekers can also tackle our outdoor Aerial Adventure course. Fantastic Filey is a short drive or stroll north and is brilliant for a day out off park. We stayed at Haven Primrose Valley, Filey, as a family of five, including our two children aged 2 and 6, and my 92-year-old grandmother who has limited mobility. The biggest highlight was our Gold caravan at A22 Rose Bank. It was high quality, beautifully finished, very clean, and in a quiet location that was ideal for the children. The beach was also fantastic: clean, safe and family-friendly, although the steep access made it difficult for young children and elderly guests. Overall, the site was good, but a few things let it down. The roads felt busy, with cars often travelling too fast, so we didn’t feel comfortable letting the children ride their bikes. The toilet facilities at the pubs and swimming pool were disappointing — dirty, cramped and not well equipped for a site of this size. Recycling facilities were limited, and there were very few bike racks. One member of reception staff was abrupt and unhelpful when we asked about Blue Badge information, which was disappointing given we were travelling with an elderly guest. However, Rachel on the outdoor activities desk was excellent — warm, welcoming, helpful and a real credit to the site. The evening entertainment was enjoyable, although venues filled up quickly, and we had already seen the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime at the Pwllheli site the previous year. Food and shop prices were high, although this is somewhat expected on a self-contained holiday site. Haven are also missing an opportunity by not having toilets and a small shop or drinks bar near the beach. Overall, the caravan and beach were excellent, but concerns about speeding cars, toilet cleanliness, and limited bike and recycling facilities would make our decision to return a close one.

Stayed recently in a silver caravan - Beech Rise. The caravan itself was clean inside, though poorly maintained with issues with both the door and patio doors, and litter including cigarettes around the outside. It was very cramped inside and would have been more suited to very young children - this is something to reflect on if we choose another Haven holiday. The mattresses were very uncomfortable, though the linen and bedding provided were clean and of good quality. The seating inside was limited - considering the caravan could sleep up to eight people, with the sofa backs falling down every time you moved. Parking was widely available, with plenty space for our two cars to park next to the caravan. We booked with other family members - they also selected a silver caravan and theirs was *much* larger and more comfortable. Difficult to believe we'd both paid for the same standard and size. The site itself has lots to offer, especially for young families (though come prepared with a large budget!) and is a short walk to the beautiful beach. The path we accessed was a very steep walk back up, we didn't get around to exploring other options. There are play areas dotted around the site, which the younger family members made good use of. Plenty of options for food on site, and a well-stocked shop. Prices as expected for a resort such as this. Toilets in the entertainment complex and Wetherspoons were not well maintained, with damages and a very strong unpleasant smell. During our stay, we travelled into Filey, Scarborough and Whitby - all beautiful areas worthy of a visit. The accomodation served it's purpose and whilst it could have been more comfortable, we weren't left too disappointed. We're unlikely to return to this site, though we will consider another Haven stay.

Very disappointed with the customer service from Haven Primrose Valley. After checking out on 4th May, I realised that my daughter had accidentally left her designer handbag in our caravan. The bag contained bank cards, identification and other personal belongings. I contacted the park by both telephone less than three hours after leaving to report the item and provide full details. Since then, I have made numerous follow-up calls requesting an update. I have been told that staff did not have access to the lost property log, that the accommodation team had not responded, and that emails had been sent internally. I was also promised a callback after a search of lost property was due to take place, but no update was ever provided. I fully appreciate that guests are responsible for checking they have all their belongings before leaving. However, what is unacceptable is the lack of communication and the failure to provide a clear answer as to whether the bag has been found or not. Several weeks later, I am still waiting for confirmation one way or the other. The handling of this matter has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional, especially given that the bag contained sensitive personal items including identification and bank cards. I expected a much higher standard of customer service from Haven. In response to your reply I have only been contacted once by Primrose Valley on 15th May 2026 informing me someone would call me back on 16th May 2026 after they have been to lost property, I am still waiting for that call! I have contacted Primrose Valley on a number of occasions by telephone, email and still no response regarding the bag. Please make sure you have the correct information if you are going to respond to this review. The fact remains that Primrose Valley has extremely poor customer service.

Brilliant stay at the Haven sight. The beach is not as close the sight im used to in Presthaven but a nice walk on the sea front. The kids and I Loved the swimming activities avilable. Plenty of outdoor fun to get round. Could do with a soft play! For the youngest kids but otherwise a great holiday. Caravans all Haven standard - pretty good for a few days.

This well cared for Holiday Park with both static and touring, is exceptional. It has everything children would need for a fabulous holiday. The adults will have a great break whilst the children are free to explore and enjoy themselves. It boasts several eateries including a large Weatherspoons! Indoor and outdoor pools and a splash pool. Highly recommended.
