Five best Halloween activities for kids
From Seton Sands in Scotland all the way down to Combe Haven on the south coast, our parks are the ideal spots for Halloween fun by the sea. Read on to find our all about this year's spooktacular activities.
All Hallows' Eve, or Halloween as you probably know it best, first took off as a festival in North America in the 20th-century, with one quarter (yes, one quarter!) of the country’s candy sold on this night alone. Whether your family dresses up, decorates or carves a pumpkin, we thought we’d put together a list of our favourite Halloween activities for kids. Allow us to show you what Halloween is like by the sea.
Who doesn’t like getting their hands dirty? Little guests can create their very own monster or pumpkin-themed slime in this fun, interactive session led by our friendly instructors. Decorate your ghastly goo before taking a pot of your marvellous creation home with you.
Halloween Sand Art
Our Halloween Sand Art activity gives our younger visitors another opportunity to get creative over the Halloween period, and it's one of our favourite Halloween activities for kids! Swap the sand on the beach for some indoor art. In this fun activity, kids get to sprinkle colourful variations to create their very own masterpiece. And the best bit is they got to take their work home to treasure and remember the time they had a Halloween stay with us.
Watch a film
If you're looking to celebrate Halloween while on one of our parks this year, why not watch a Halloween film in your caravan? Our Silver, Gold and Signature caravans all have DVD players – all you need to do is choose your title. A feature length bit of TV is the perfect excuse to cuddle up and eat some treats. And with Freeview, you can access up to 70 channels at the touch of a button. The possibilities are many and the opportunities are large!
Halloween fancy dress parade
Dress up in your best spooky costumes and join the other pumpkins, skeletons, witches and spiders in Haven's fancy dress parade - it's a great excuse to perfect those face-painting skills. And grown-ups can join in too - as if you needed any encouragement!
Gather up sticks, stones, leaves and any other natural resource you fancy, and use your inner Picasso to turn them into a Halloween masterpiece. Twiggy spider-web? The Seaside Squad recreated in leaf form? The spooky possibilities are endless!
