Five reasons to buy a static caravan near The Lake District
The Lake District is up there as one of the first places you think of when it comes to a holiday in Britain. We offer the opportunity to make this a holiday as and when you please with caravan ownership close to the heart of this special National Park.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site on your doorstep. That’s the reality when you purchase a second home for you and the family here. Before we go into more detail about why you should consider buying a static caravan near the Lake District, let’s hear from some of our owners themselves.
Carole Bennett says: ‘‘As foster carers, our caravan has offered our children new experiences in life. They all love the entertainment and activities that Lakeland has to offer.’’
1. A lifestyle near the Lakes

Our Lakeland Holiday Park sits just south of the Lake District National Park, in an area that can only be described as idyllic.
To the north, you have the iconic lakes. To the south, there’s the picturesque site of Morecambe Bay. Grange-over-Sands is the nearest major town and you’re also a short hop in the car away from historic Kendal.
2. Coast, and convenience
For all Lakeland’s idyllic surroundings, there’s still everything you need to enjoy life as an owner with amenities never too far away so you can focus on the memory-making and keep hassle to a minimum.

3. A place to enjoy the great outdoors

There are so many ways to bond with friends new and existing when you have something as spectacular as the Lake District on your doorstep. One of the most popular activities amongst our existing owners and their loved ones is a cycle.
Hiring a bike, or even better, bringing your own to the van is an incredible way to explore this beautiful region. There are loads of dedicated cycle routes. If you don’t fancy two wheels, get your walking boots on and go on an adventure. There is something new to see every time you visit your van.
4. Some of the most stunning scenery in the UK

There’s no greater feeling than stepping out of your own caravan and being mesmerised by the sight of the Lake District in front of you. From a stroll with the dog along Morecambe Bay to a day trip up to Lake Windermere, the region oozes escape and crucially, there’s always something new to discover.
It’s the perfect spot for a place of your own that’s both well connected to major centres like Manchester and Liverpool whilst offering something a world away from their hustle and bustle.
5. There’s always something on

Head into Grange-over-Sands to find something on throughout the year. There are community events galore in this Cumbrian town, from evening ballroom dancing parties to educational lectures that enthral and inspire.
There are even more options slightly further afield in Bowness-on-Windermere, and we lay on a range of owners-only events at Lakeland during the calendar too. There’s something for all generations of the family in the Lake District.
