Camping and touring holidays in Somerset

Somerset’s stunning coastline and seaside resorts make this destination the perfect place for a UK touring and camping break. Discover the underground world at Wookey Hole, take a walk along the pier at the traditional seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, or explore the caves at Cheddar Gorge. We’re lucky to have a campsite based centrally to two of the country's largest Areas of Natural Beauty – the Mendips and the Quantocks. Our Somerset campsite, Burnham-on-Sea, has everything you need and is within easy reach of many of the delights this region has to offer. On the park, there is a superb level and sheltered camping area, providing 68 Basic, Electric and Euro electric pitches, all close to the main park facilities.

Things to do in Somerset

If you like your scenery more dramatic, take a trip to Cheddar Gorge. 450-foot limestone cliffs loom over you as you arrive – followed by a downward turn to see the stunning stalactite caverns, a world-famous centre for caving and rock climbing. More gentle pleasures can be found in the seaside towns of Burnham-on-Sea, Brean and Minehead. Sandy beaches and crashing waves make them the perfect destination for surfers, while the distinctively stony Kilve Beach is riddled with rock pools for little ones to explore. Or take a day trip to Bath to ramble through its museums and historic sites or discover its links with Jane Austen. Make the pilgrimage to Wells or Glastonbury (or both!) for cathedrals and Somerset souvenirs.
