The Skegness and Lincolnshire area is packed with theme parks, so the kids won't get bored (plus, the big kid in you can have fun too!)

Let's go through some of the very best theme parks in Skegness and the surrounding area for you and the family to visit.

1. Fantasy Island

1. Fantasy Island

Situated just north of Skegness at Ingoldmells near a beautiful beach, Fantasy Island puts the coast into rollercoaster. Its Jubilee Odyssey ride boasts a maximum height of 167 feet and speeds of up to 62mph, so it’s not for the faint-hearted. You can also loop-the-loop in The Millennium or explore a fantasy world of castles and dragons in The Guardian.

For those who are happier on water, there’s the Wild Water Rapids ride, and there are quite a few smaller experiences for the little ones. The park is big on seasonal events too, including beach parties in the summer and firework displays.

2. Skegness Water Leisure Park

2. Skegness Water Leisure Park

Be a day visitor and visit Skegness Water Sports and learn how to paddleboard or kayak, or simply rent one. There's pedalos and chili boats (bicycles on pontoons!) plus electric motorboats styled like tiny ships.

If you’re looking for fun on the water, Skegness Water Sports is a great place to have safe, supervised experiences with boats of all sorts and very reasonable rental prices.

4. Sundown Adventureland, Sundown

Sundown is the theme park for under-10s. Expect more colour, sounds, awesome music, and surprise than death-defying experiences at Sundown.

There are heaps of rides with a range of mix and match themes including pirates, Robin Hood and, for little trainspotters, a Rocky Mountain Railroad. There are eight soft play areas for little ones to choose from, interactive walk-through experiences and many places to eat and drink.

You may need more than one visit to fully explore Sundown, which is around 15 miles northwest of Lincoln, and about an hour and a half from Skegness. It's perfect for tying in with a day out to the county town.
