Lovely Towans beach in Hayle, Cornwall has been named the best in the UK by The Times in 2024. And lucky for you, this sandy gem is the setting of our Riviere Sands Holiday Park, which has direct access to the Towans beach.
We're proud of all of the wonderful coastal settings enjoyed by our Haven holiday parks, but this brilliant national accolade seals Riviere Sands' place as a must-visit holiday destination.
Out of a total of 543 beaches surveyed, The Times named Towans the overall winner and the best in the South West - which if you've visited the beautiful shores of Devon, Cornwall and Dorset you'll know is no mean feat!
It's an "unspoilt, undeveloped and largely unknown stretch of sand, rock, cliff and dune across the bay from the overcrowded St Ives" says The Times, which also praised its water quality and dog-friendly setting.
It has "a sense of space in untamed nature that lowers your heart rate, reduces the cortisol and loosens the limbs".
With direct access straight from Riviere Sands Holiday Park onto Towans' sands, there really is no better place to stay and enjoy the UK's best beach.
At Riviere Sands, even when you're not on the beach, you'll find yourself drinking in the views over it and out to St Ives Bay. Large windows inthe park's family restaurant make the beach a magnificent backdrop to your meal, with plenty of outside seating for warm days.
Over at the kids' play park, you'll be able to admire the coastal views while the kids burn off some steam: win-win!
