Year-round
Shorne Woods parkrun, Shorne
Where: Shorne Woods Country Park, Brewers Road, Gravesend DA12 3HX
When: Every Saturday at 9am
Everyone is welcome at Shorne Woods parkrun. This inclusive event is suitable for everyone, regardless of how fast you are. Buggies and dogs are also welcome! The 5k event happens on a weekly basis and is FREE to enter. Just head to parkrun UK’s website to register and get your barcode for the event.
Gillingham FC football matches (except June-July)
When: generally, every other Saturday, with some Tuesday night matches too
Where: Redfern Avenue, Gillingham ME7 4DD
Gillingham are an historic football club plying their trade in League Two, the fourth tier of English football. They’re Kent’s only Football League club and have a rich heritage and loyal fanbase. Their stadium Priestfield, isn’t far from Haven Kent Coast, so it’s well worth checking out a game or two over the course of the football season.

The Kent Garden Show, Maidstone
When: May 25-27 (including Bank Holiday Monday)
Where: Kent County Agricultural Society, Maidstone
Featuring 300 exhibitors, the Kent Garden Show is a floral display of epic proportions. As well as displays, there will be opportunities to buy all the essentials for a garden, or even something to spruce up your caravan exterior.

Castle Concerts, Rochester
When: throughout the summer
Where: Castle Hill, Rochester ME1 1SW
This historic site and its gardens double up as one of the best concert venues in Kent. There are events throughout the summer at this special site, so keep checking back and tie a performance or two in with a stay at Haven Kent Coast.

Maid of Stone Festival 2024, Maidstone
When: July 19-21
Where: Mote Park, Maidstone ME15 8NQ
This hard-rocking, all ages event returns in 2024 featuring rock acts from around the world. Covering every genre from heavy metal to blues, it’s one that’s surged in popularity since it was established in 2022, and 2024 looks set to be another record-breaking year.
August

Deal Folk 'n' Beer Festival
When: August 17-18
Where: Betteshanger Park, Sandwich Rd, Deal CT14 0BF
There’s nothing like a beer or two in beautiful settings, and that’s exactly what Deal Folk 'n' Beer Festival offers. With live music, street food and hopefully some summer sunshine, secure your ticket now and get it in the 2024 diary.
Pretty Woman – The Musical, Dartford
When: August 26-31
Where: The Orchard Theatre, Home Gardens, Dartford DA1 1ED
A legendary film that’s helped inspired this legendary musical of the stage, coming to Dartford over a series of days in late August. It ties in perfectly with a holiday at Kent Coast, so book your tickets and see how Vivian’s life changed forever.

Hever Castle Triathlon & Multisport Festival
When: September 28-29
Where: Hever, Edenbridge TN8 7NG
Hever Castle is hosting the mother of all events for fitness fanatics. Over a two-day period, there are triathlons, duathlons and aquathlons for a variety of different ages to take part in, starting from age nine upwards. Whether you intend to compete or simply spectate, this is a unique event to note in your Kent calendar.
