Top 5 things to do near Penally Court and on park
Dave Evans is the General Manager of Penally Court and sister park Kiln Park near Tenby in South Wales. The park park is one of our quieter retreats, with a high proportion of owners, and all who stay here have access to the facilities at Kiln Park, too.
So what are his top picks on the must-do activities on holiday at Penally Court?
1. Enjoy the tranquility
Penally Court is really beautiful, it’s about a mile and a half away from Kiln’s main entrance itself. It’s right opposite access to the beach, you have to walk up onto the headland and you’re on the beach and can access really great walks from there.
Lots of Penally holidaymakers love it here because it is stripped back, it is very beautiful there’s a real feeling of community because there are a lot of owners. It’s peaceful. There is a little pool, a play area, and an owners’ lounge with a games room. And of course you have access to everything at Kiln Park.
2. Explore Tenby and postcard-perfect Pembrokeshire
The park is a perfect base for exploring beautiful Pembrokeshire and its amazing Blue Flag beaches, majestic castles, historic, beautiful towns and villages, great food and drink, incredible walks and views on a sensational coastline.
Tenby is a beautiful jewel of Pembrokeshire, right on our doorstep. It’s a historic walled town stuffed full of great bars and restaurants, beautiful sandy beaches and a bustling harbour. A visit here is unforgettable.
3. Be entertained at The Marina Bar and Stage
The Marina Bar and Stage over on Kiln Park, I think is the best entertainment venue in the whole of Wales (similar venue shown). It has a day and night-time programme, a mix of superb shows delivered by a truly excellent Haven Show Team. It also shows live sports daily.
It's a huge investment, and it's a cutting edge showbar. It’s bang up to the minute, there are skylights and windows so natural light floods into it. There’s an amazing stage area with state-of-the-art screens that will amplify and project the stagecraft. The seating is beautiful, and it’s a really flexible venue because you can use areas for smaller events, or for big gala nights you open the whole thing up and it’s a big venue, or create a more intimate atmosphere in the bar area.
It has great décor, funky seating with high tables, low tables, booth seating, tellys everywhere. And the shows are fantastic, we’ve always had good entertainment teams here but these are exceptional, absolutely exceptional.
4. Dine out in style
The Harbwr Lights restaurant at Kiln Park is a full table service restaurant with great food and service in a great environment.
Kiln Park will also be getting a new Burger King, which is really good for kids and really recognisable. We've also got Papa Johns which is a great way to either eat there or in their holiday homes. And a fish and chip shop. What more could you want?
5. Take your pick of the activities
There are a huge range of activities available. At Penally Court, there's swimming, and a play area. At Kiln Park there's a climbing wall, karts, bicycles, Pottery Creations, indoor and outdoor pools, Haven Ranger activities including fire lighting and pond dipping.
