Snowdonia National Park

Five reasons to buy a static caravan in North Wales

The landscape and attractions of North Wales are so rich and so diverse that it’s the setting for a whopping five parks with caravans for sale here. The mountains and glaciers of Snowdonia National Park are never too far from view in this region, giving way to swathes of impressive coastline and, on a clear day, views all the way out towards Ireland.

It’s a place you’ll be yearning to escape to time and time again, with so many walking routes, villages and historic landmarks to explore.

Mr Andrew & Mrs Diane Johnston offer an insight into life at Hafan Y Mor: ''We love the freedom of coming to a stunning location, with coastal footpaths, mountain views and the opportunity to see dolphins and seals as we enjoy photography.''

Here are five reasons to buy a static caravan in beautiful North Wales.

1. A property of your own at one of our parks

1. A property of your own at one of our parks

Dotted along the breathtaking, rugged North Wales coast you’ll find our five caravan parks, spanning from Prestatyn to Porthmadog and Pwllheli. Presthaven Holiday Park in Prestatyn, near Rhyl, is a firm family favourite. With traditional seaside towns within easy reach, access to sand flats from the park and plenty of activities to occupy the family, it ticks a lot of boxes.

Hafan y Mor in Pwllheli, near Abersoch, is a larger site, with a lovely boating lake at its heart and direct access to Pennychain railway station. Nestled on the Llyn Peninsula, walks in this region will bring you views of Criccieth and Harlech Castle as you look out towards Cardigan Bay.

Greenacres in Porthmadog boasts a truly stunning setting, with direct access to Black Rock Sands – a wide, open, sandy beach with fabulous views of the headlands it’s named after. Its two sister parks, Garreg Wen and Cardigan View, are for owners-only, and will bring you into a welcoming community with a relaxed pace. Both parks will give you access to the many facilities at Greenacres, too, so in many ways they offer the best of both worlds.

2. Amenities to make life easy

North Wales offers the perfect combination of coast and convenience. As much as you’ll be escaping the hustle and bustle, you’ll also be well-connected with all the amenities needed to make life easy.

Conwy Castle sits gloriously on the river bank

There are so many must-visit places in North Wales, that you could never get bored of visiting the region. In fact it has more castles per square mile than any other place in the world! The well-preserved medieval castles of Conwy, Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Harlech are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and the ruins of Criccieth, Rhuddlan and Dolwyddelan are worth exploring too.

Snowdonia National Park: a unique UK landscape

Snowdonia National Park is world-renowned, spanning nine mountain ranges, 23 miles of coastline, and 11,000 hectares of woodland. Its largest, and most popular peak is Snowdon, standing at over 3,000 feet. It’s home to several mountain farmlands and has been dedicated a National Nature Reserve thanks to an array of rare flora and fauna. Need to rest your legs? The Snowdon Mountain Railway has been carrying passengers to the peak of Snowdon since 1896. It’s a spectacular route, and a very memorable journey!

And no bracing walk would be complete without a stop off at a welcoming pub – thankfully Snowdonia is home to plenty of those too. You might be able to pick up a local Snowdonia Ale, or beers from local breweries in Conwy and Gogarth, and many of these cosy pubs welcome dogs with open arms.

5. Amazing events to suit every taste

Wales’ rich sporting history is well known, and you can catch regular fixtures at North Wales Rugby’s home in Colwyn Bay. Wrexham Football Club, the oldest professional club in Wales, is firmly back on the map thanks to its new celebrity owners, with matches taking place at its Racecourse Ground. While Venue Cymru in Llandudno frequently hosts snooker events, including the 2023 Welsh Open.

And music lovers will enjoy the annual North Wales Choir Festival, also at Venue Cymru, which celebrates the region’s incredible choral singers.

The monthly difference equates to £218.67, which will be credited to the owner's account. Both letting income and site fees are subject to yearly pricing reviews and the monthly site fee costs and letting income shown in the example are based on 2024 figures.

Modelled assumptions on expected annual site fee and letting income charges over the 7-year lettable life of the Atlas Sahara 3 Bed indicate that under Let2offset it is anticipated that these customers will continue to receive a monthly credit during this period, however, this is not guaranteed. The modelled assumptions are based on the historical performance of Haven over the past 5 years of trading.
