Riviere Sands Holiday Park

We recently stayed at Haven Riviera Sands in Cornwall and unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed with the overall experience. One of the main issues was the cleanliness of the site and accommodation. Standards did not seem to be as high as expected, which was disappointing, especially when travelling with a young family. The parking arrangements were also frustrating. In the Marazion area, each caravan has an allocated parking bay number, but it appears that anyone can park in these spaces. This meant there was little point in having designated bays, and it caused unnecessary inconvenience during our stay. We understand that guests can pay to reserve a specific caravan, but when travelling with a 6-month-old baby, being allocated accommodation that was quite a distance from the main facilities was far from ideal. The facilities also felt as though they were being closed down before the advertised closing times, which often gave the impression that guests were being encouraged to leave early rather than enjoy the facilities for the full opening hours. We also found the accommodation team difficult to access, as they were not available on certain days, making it harder to get assistance when needed. Additionally, the laundrette being closed on Wednesdays and Fridays was inconvenient, particularly for families staying for longer periods. Overall, while the location is lovely, we felt the site lacked the level of organisation, cleanliness and customer service we expected. Unfortunately, the various issues throughout our stay meant that we left feeling dissatisfied and would be hesitant to return.

100% recommend this site. Staff are wonderful. Rachel on reception was so lovely and so helpful. We booked a saver grade caravan. The caravan was absolutely spotless. With it being an old prestige grade caravan it had full size fridge freezer dishwasher, proper table and chairs. Even an ensuite loo to the double bedroom! A really stunning caravan. 3rd row back from the ocean with a gorgeous view. The whole site was exceptionally tidy and clean. We booked the hideaway option so cant comment on entertainment etc. On site pub is now a wetherspoons and although the prices are a little high everything was a good standard. The views from the beer garden are out of this world over Hayle beach. Turquoise water, pale sand. Thank you to all the staff. We will definitely return again and again.

When we arrived check in was so fast and smooth! We were directed to our caravan and it took minutes to be checked in and on our way! We were pleasantly surprised at the caravan, we'd booked a saver caravan and it was way more than I ever would've expected!! After walking in I moved one of the stools around the table and a clump of black hair came out from underneath and there was bits of food debris on the floor. I reported this through the app and I'm not even exaggerating when I said a cleaner was at my van in less than 3 minutes! I was so shocked! I didn't catch her name but she came in and cleaned it so quickly! Whilst she was there we realized the radiator by the door was leaking, she radioed through to maintenance and again in less than 5 minutes he was there fixing the issue! Absolutely incredible!! My 4 year old son booked into a couple of activities through the week but we also wanted to explore Cornwall too! But the activities he did do, he absolutely loved and he came home very happy with the different things he created, especially his crocodile he decorated with pic and bobble!! Now onto the best part of it all, the evening entertainment! Now I'm sure if you show the amazing entertainers this review they will know exactly who we are! My 4 year old son turned up on the Monday night with his bow tie on feeling a little unsure! This clearly made him very memorable because by the end of monday evening they knew my boy by name and that was incredible! After that he felt right at home! Normally shy and unsure, he was up dancing and playing games! He had the most amazing and memorable holiday thanks to the response from the entertainers! Leigh, Erika, Charlie, Rob and Connor made my boy have the most magical holiday, so thank you for that! We also can't forget security, John, who was absolutely smitten by my boy and even somehow ended up on the dancefloor bouncing around with him! Myself and my husband were able to actually relax, we felt very welcome, very well looked after and very safe! Now for the staff we didn't catch the names of! All the bar staff, security, reception staff, checking in staff all the way to the arcade staff made our holiday so memorable! They are all in the right job, at the right place! My son has not stopped talking about his holiday, the staff, the seaside squad and the little friendships he made whilst we were there!! Many people are quick to write a review complaining but not as many people write good reviews but it goes without saying we had the most amazing time and we will be back next year, this time hopefully in a gold caravan with a beautiful view of the sea!! The park is incredibly family-friendly with plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. We appreciated how budget-friendly it was—we felt we got excellent value for our money without compromising on the quality of our stay. From the atmosphere to the facilities, it was a brilliant break for the whole family. We’ll definitely be back

So we booked a one week stay at this resort and choose . The bronze caravan with all the amusment cards ect ... we got to our caravan . First of all the parking was terrible and grass based ware most likley we would get stuck due mud. Inside the caravan its self just looked like cowvoy builders made it . All the wood and decore was poor . The microwave was outdated . Also found stains on the sofa seating cusshion . Bare minimum space in the bedrooms . Couldent even keep the luggage in their. Also the bathrooms was way too small and compact. Their was one that you couldent even turn around in . You could basicly sit on the toilet and wash your hands at the same time . And just to top it all off . When winding down on a night time . The tv was really bad for reseption . I looked at the pots and pans and found grime in them also . And the amenaties at the site was poor too . I would not reccomend this place and will not return. I really dont Know how the AA rated it a 5 star when it barley makes it as a two star .
