Burnham-on-Sea Holiday Village

Visited for a long weekend at the end of July. I was abit wary after reading some reviews but I have to say we loved it! Me my husband and 3 daughters aged between 5 and 21 stayed in a bronze caravan. Upon arrival using the haven app check in was so easy. Driving through the park it was clean and looked really well kept, our caravan was spotless, clean and tidy, bed linen was clean, even the pull out bed which in some places gets missed was clean. Using the onsite facilities was made even easier with the app, from booking activities to dining was super simple and quick! We ate at all the food places available. And yes some prices like the pizza was expensive but if you don't want to pay that there are places close to the park you can get food from abit cheaper, but to be honest of you are by the seaside you expect prices to be higher. The food was really good made quick and served hot and fresh. The chippy onsite there's a small wait because of popularity especially on the Saturday but worth it and quite well priced. Burnham on sea itself is quite expensive but pop to Weston and actually that was cheaper. Great family holiday and will definitely go again. Sometimes I think people book budget and expect 5star. Thank you haven and your lovely staff for making our stay great.

We've just returned from the most amazing week ever! It was our first ever family holiday with our 3 children and it was absolutely perfect. A few minor issues but nothing that really affected such a wonderful experience! - We did pay for 12:00-13:00 check in and upon arrival at 13:00 the cleaner was in there and not ready, that being said she was lovely and we were were happy to wait! When we got inside the caravan was absolutely beautiful! We were a couple of min walk to the complex and yet still such a quiet stay! Unfortunately although we booked swim session, the indoor pool was closed for issues on both of the days meaning we never got to go in. Instead, we spent every spare moment in the outdoor pool and loved every second of it! Lifeguards were lovely and made mu older son who had additional needs feel very safe and comfortable! They also were on it with their safety and stepped in whenever parents were letting their older kids cause havoc in the smaller/baby section! We had multiple amazing meals in the Mash and Barrel and spent almost every night in the arcades! Unfortunately we didn't get to see the entertainment as it was was just far too busy for are eldest!. The only thing I feel is worth mentioning is that some staff around (primarily the younger staff) just clearly didn't want to be there and it definitely can make for some uncomfortable moments in holiday! Of course nobody wants to be at work but when working in such a public job I think maybe friendly service could be worked on a little bit. That being said the majority of the staff were lovely, Shout outs to - lovely lady at the check in hut singing happy birthday to me upon entry. - The lifeguards who made my kids feel so safe and comfortable and were amazing with our 1 year old -The security who handle one issue with other guests very quickly and wished us a safe journey home the morning we left And the arcade staff who were just such a friendly presence the entire time! Will definitely be returning!

At the first look around, me and my family realised a bird caught in a net above the inside pool. A worker walked past and stopped to speak to us about it. His words was something along the line “The bird has a nest on top of the roof and gets aggressive whenever approached, we have called a specialised team to come and help it." Except it has now been several hours AND the seagull has died!! I feel like this could have been rushed as it quite literally is an emergency - the bird was stuck upside down and couldn’t move AT ALL. This was very disappointing considering the park itself is very entertaining and friendly! Additionally it was not hidden at all away from children. Not saying this was the parks fault whatsoever, but I feel like they could have at least put effort into the specialists coming any time sooner. Other than this I have came to this holiday park multiple times, and not once has it ever been bad! The caravans are cleaned, fresh and also easy to get too. The park has many of entertainment facilities, including an indoor and outdoor pool. The restaurant/pub on site has beautiful food and drink’s. The club house has great entertainment for children and adults. The only downside to this is probably the prices - but to be honest, when are holiday parks ever cheap 😂

Had an adaptive caravan so ramp to push wheelchair up. Wet room single beds . All cooking facilities but microwave is high so if wheelchair user would need someone with you. Beautiful fishing lake where you can hire gear or take your own . Easy access by lift into main entertainment venue but gets very busy . Entertainment ok .lots of places to eat but expensive. You can walk into Burnham nice and flat .we're going again in 2027

Unfortunately my experience wasn't wonderful with regards to customer service. It seems when you book a private letting, booking onto activities seem be a nightmare. I had pre-booked 3 swimming sessions ahead of our trip yet upon arrival the bookings couldn't be found. On 1 occasion I was told that I had to call back, another I was told I cannot book on a check-in day... seemed so unhelpful. The reception staff were ok but not overly warm i felt.I booked a family kart directly with the activities hub staff, payment was taken but again we arrived at the allocated time only to be met with blank expressions as our booking was not on the tablet yet again. After showing my payment transaction we were allowed on but its rather embarrassing when it probably seems as though you are trying to pull a fast 1 to onlookers. I feel that more lighting is needed around the park. I realised at night, coming back into the rear beach entrance, there were lights which were not working so I felt slightly less safe walking through to our van. The park itself seems pretty well maintained, clean and tidy. There was a security man who seemed rather friendly and helpful, he had the most awesome red hair (i didnt get his name), i wish I could rate him separately as I couldnt fault him, he was very welcoming. Also I wish I could rate Maggie separately. 5 star 🌟 service. She was lovely! Maggie greeted us on our arrival and we had the pleasure to speak with her several times throughout our short stay. She is a gem and Haven are lucky to have such a hard working and warm personality on their team.
