Marton Mere Nature Reserve walk

On the doorstep of Marton Mere is the Marton Mere Nature Reserve, ideal for a shorter walk to take in some of the local wildlife. There are bird hides scattered around so see what you can spot!

For those looking to explore further afield, you can extend your route to take in Stanley Park and its Italian Gardens, or Blackpool Zoo which is also nearby.

Exmouth Seafront walk

Exmouth Seafront has a lovely stretch of sandy beach for walking along, or for the more adventurous, paddling in the sea. There are plenty of shops and cafés along the way if you fancy stopping for an ice cream or some fish and chips.

If you carry on past the seafront and keep on walking you can head to Orcombe Point for some clifftop views or to visit the Geoneedle.

Durdle Door


Durdle Door and White Nothe walk

The route between Durdle Door and White Nothe takes you across the stunning Dorset coast with views of both Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.

The route takes you across several hills, and can be challenging but the beaches at Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are well worth visiting if you don't fancy doing the whole 7 mile route.

The Charles Dickens walk

Follow in the footsteps of Charles Dickens (quite literally!) with the Charles Dickens walk in Higham. You'll be able to take in all of the authors former haunts including his former house and his former school at Gad's Hill.

Once finished, why not drive to historic Rochester and discover all the quaint town has to offer.

The lake district

Windermere Way walk

Lake Windermere is undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking places to visit in the UK, with idyllic hills and woodlands surrounding the majestic Cumbrian lake. 

The Windermere Way walk covers all 45 miles of the lake, but this can be broken down. Why not use the lake's ferries or set yourself sections to visit such as Loughrigg Fell. Whatever you decide to do it's well worth the visit.

Cleethorpes seafront walk

There's plenty to see on the Cleethorpes seafront walk. Divert your journey and head out to the beach if it's a summers day, or head to the self-proclaimed 'smallest pub on the planet' The Signal Box Inn. 

The start point for the route is around a mile away from Thorpe Park, however as the route goes past the park you can also make Thorpe Park your starting point.

Great Yarmouth Town Wall walk

If you're staying at one of our 4 Norfolk parks you might want to venture into Great Yarmouth. Why not explore the historic town by going on the town wall walk, this takes you through the towns various historic buildings as well as the wall itself.

When you're finished exploring, why not head down to the seafront? Try your luck at one of the many arcades or head down to 'the golden mile' stretch of beach for a paddle in the sea.

Prestatyn to Rhyl walk

For a day out on the North Welsh coastline, the walk along the Prestatyn to Rhyl seafront is ideal especially if it's a nice day.

The route is flat making it ideal for pushchairs, and if the kids start to get bored you can always head down to the beach or take a look round the Sea Life Centre in Rhyl.

Berwick Coast and Walls trail

The Berwick Coast and Walls trail takes you through some of the most gorgeous North East coastline, before taking you on a historical tour via the town's Elizabethan walls.

There's also a chance to explore the museums in the town on your route. Part of this route goes past Berwick so it really is on our doorstep!

Dunure to Ayr Coastal walk

For some rugged clifftop views the Dunure to Ayr coastal walk is a great walk to go on. Start from Dunure and explore the ruins of Dunure Castle before following the beach towards Ayr.

Alternatively, you can walk the last section of the route directly from Craig Tara. Head down to the beach, continue following it and have a look round the ruins of Greenan Castle.

Woodland Hill walk

The Quantock Hills are full of wonderful woodland, and as you go on the Woodland Hill walk you'll feel as if you're lost in time. 

There'll be plenty of opportunity to see the local wildlife on this route, and on a clear day, views of the Brecon Beacons and the Bristol Channel from the open heathland.

The hills are a designated Area Of Natural Beauty so, once you've finished on this route there are plenty of other routes to take around the hills.

Aberaeron to New Quay walk

This coastal walk covers a six mile section of the Ceredigion Coast Path between Aberaeron and New Quay, with some spectacular views along the way. 

The route ends at New Quay Harbour so try and see if you can spot some of the local dolphins and seals. As the route goes past our Quay West holiday park, if you don't want to start at Aberaeron beach you can start from Quay West and head towards Aberaeron.

Hastings Circular Walk

This route takes you around the coast, before going around Hastings Country Park which is full of woods and sandy cliffs before taking you back to the sea front.

Hastings Country Park is worth visiting on a sunny day as you'll be able to see views as far as France!

This route offers scenic views of the Yorkshire coast before ending up at North Landing beach, right on the edge of Thornwick Bay Holiday park.

North landing has plenty of rockpools for crabbing and is well worth a day out with the kids.
