Places to visit in Lincolnshire

The Lincolnshire coastline is home not only to striking countryside but also some of the UK's best loved seaside resorts. Lincolnshire is a county steeped in history, from the Roman arches in the city of Lincoln which date back to the 3rd century BC, to Lincoln Castle, home to one of the four surviving copies of the Magna Carta. Boston, Lincolnshire was where some of the earliest settlers who later made their home in Boston, Massachusetts in the 17th century originated from, while in the Second World War the region was given the nickname Bomber County as a result of all the Allied airfields that were built on its flat land.
