In 2009 the NSPCC made Haven a Patron of their charity. Haven MD John Dunford said: “Haven Holidays takes its responsibilities to society seriously and we are delighted to be made patrons of the NSPCC as it is such a worthy charity.

The NSPCC is calling for everyone to do their bit – whether big or small – to end child cruelty by supporting its’ Child’s Voice Appeal which aims to raise £50million over the next three raise to expand the charity’s ChildLine and adult helplines. The NSPCC cannot end cruelty to children by itself and we work with other organisations across Northern England and the rest of the UK to provide vital services for local children and families. The charity has always been dependent on the generosity of its supporters, and that remains as vital today as it always has been.

Team Members actively support Jeans for Genes, both at the company's Head Office and at all the Parks - where holidaymakers are encouraged to get involved. In 2010 they raised over£3,000 on behalf of the charity. Everyone has around 30,000 genes but, if one is faulty or missing, a genetic disorder could result. In the UK, one baby in every 33 is born with a genetic disorder or birth defect.

The overall total raised by Bourne Leisure for the charity is £112,000 which will help transform the lives of affected children and give many families hope for the future. Jeans for Genes is a fun national appeal to raise funds for pioneering research into genetic disorders and to provide valuable support services for affected individuals and their families.

The FHA is the only charity in the UK that specialises in providing holidays for families and children in need. Haven support FHA who are working to promote the quality of family life for those parents and children who experience disadvantage as a result of poverty through the provision of and by promoting access to holidays and other recreational activities. In 2010 over 1,400 families will have enjoyed a break as a result of our grant-making programme.

There are 47 local Wildlife Trusts across the whole of the UK. The majority of our Parks are corporate members of their local Wildlife Trust. We are continually working with the Wildlife Trusts in order to manage our Parks for wildlife and people and to benefit the wider environment
