Mini Cooks - maxi fun!

Encouraging children to cook is a great way to create healthy eating habits and get kids more interested in the food that they eat. Experts say that it can improve self confidence and self esteem. And best of all – kids love it!

Backed by children’s cooking guru Annabel Karmel, Haven Holidays have introduced ‘Annabel’s Creative Kitchen’ as part of the activity programme at all their Parks. “It’s one of the most popular activities we offer,” say Haven. “We’ve had more than 160 children in a single session decorating cakes and cookies. We provide all the ingredients and clear up to the mess. The kids get to enjoy making their own personalised cakes and cookies – and they get to eat them!”

As part of the new activity Haven have arranged a number of special breaks with personal appearances from Annabel Karmel. She will be cooking with the kids and talking to Mums and Dads about healthy eating and child nutrition at Combe Haven, near Hastings, during the break starting Mon 22nd June.

The ‘Annabel at Haven’ break includes a whole range of fun activities aimed at under-5s. In addition to cookie and cake fun with Annabel Karmel there’s a mini-tots disco, a special water confidence session with fun inflatables in the swimming pool, extra shows with cuddly characters Rory the Tiger, Anxious the Elephant and friends and a Zoo Lab session where you can get up close and hands-on to some fascinating living creatures.

If you can’t make Combe Haven on 22nd June, Annabel’s Creative Kitchen takes place at all Haven Holiday Parks throughout the season.
