What’s more, visitors to the bus will have the chance to a win a year’s supply of Ladybird books and a big squashy Ladybird bean bag where they can snuggle up and read.
The bus is part of a scheme to encourage kids that reading is fun. Last year Haven Holidays successfully hosted the government sponsored ‘Reading for Life’ project which gave away books to families. This year’s it’s hoped that younger children will be excited by all the different book-based activities and be introduced to all the pleasures of reading
“Children of any age will be welcomed by the Ladybird team,” said Naomi Woodstock of Haven Holidays, “but we’re particularly hoping that under-5’s will come along and listen to the stories, have fun with the dressing up box and take part in the games and competitions.”
And there are lots of other activities on offer for younger children at Haven Holiday Parks too. Heated indoor swimming pools with splash areas and Water Confidence sessions, Little Cubs club for 1-4 year olds, early morning ‘Wake and Shake’ to get tinies up and moving, character breakfasts and fun stage-shows featuring Haven favourites Rory the Tiger, Bradley Bear and friends.
