Haven search for Family Talent during National Family Week

It's National Family week over May Half Term with a nationwide focus on bringing families together. There are all sorts of activities planned for kids, mums and dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins including sports, story telling and the world’s biggest picnic.

Haven Holidays say they’re great for families every week but there will be even more on offer over the half term break – including the chance to prove yourself as Haven’s most talented family!

The regular "Haven's got Talent" contest will be encouraging families to get up on stage and perform together. They say "It's more the Osmonds or Jackson Five than Susan Boyle but if your family has a special talent, we want to see you on stage!"

And if performing isn’t your thing there are loads of activities, sports, games and competitions on park, with an emphasis on fun rather than winning.

Family "It's a Knockout" takes place in the swimming pools on all 35 Haven Parks – a "wet and wacky" activity that everyone can join in with. And there's Annabel’s Creative Kitchen – a chance for kids to roll up their sleeves, put on their aprons and get upfront and messy with cakes and cookies.

Haven have enhanced their children's clubs – another facility for families that is included in the holiday cost. Club R & B is a place where 5-11 year olds can get together, have fun and make friends. Activities include arts and crafts, games, Kwik Cricket and rounders, treasure hunts and quizzes. Parents are encouraged to get involved too. Haven say, "Our kids' clubs aren’t designed to be a child-minding service – it's all about family activities and parental involvement. We ALWAYS encourage parents and kids to enjoy themselves together – that's part of what makes Haven a great family environment."
