In response to Bourne Leisure’s ranking, the company’s Chief Executive John Dunford, said: “This is a fantastic achievement and I am really proud of everyone who works for our company.
“We were competing against the biggest companies in the country and to come second is phenomenal. The award is a great tribute to the commitment, dedication and enthusiasm of our Team Members in all three brands.”
The inclusion in the Times list is only the latest in a long string of awards for Bourne and its subsidiaries: aside from being named as Travel Company of the Year 2008. Haven was recently named UK Travel Operator of the Year for the second year running, and received the honour of being appointed as a patron of the NSPCC after holidaymakers raised a total of £115,000 for the children’s charity over the last three years.
As part of their commitment to the community, and to reflect their status as a Family Holidays specialist, Haven are participating in a scheme to provide sports equipment to local pre-school groups around Hemel Hempstead and Hertfordshire as part of the national Fun and Fitness scheme.
