Wear jeans instead of your usual uniform or work clothes and raise money

Jeans for Genes the popular UK charity, urges supporters to 'generate' funds by wearing jeans instead of their usual uniform or work clothes, on Jeans for Genes Day 2008 last october and making a donation to change the world for children living with genetic disorders.

A grand total of £14,229 was raised this year.

Although we have raised less this year it is none the less a great result as we know there are many other charities being supported including our own Little Star Foundation where we are achieving some fantastic results.

We had a "thank you" incentive for the entertainments managers who are the ones that tend to drive this activity. This was to reward the park who raised the most amount per arrival.

The Park who raised the most amount

The winning Park (drum roll please) is Wild Duck - a big thank you to them.

The Entertainments Manager (Liz Sunderland I believe) wins a theatre trip to London with an overnight stay which I will arrange with Simon Daniels to ensure they get their prize.

Special recognition to Carrie Stretton at Church Farm who increased there year on year by 197% and Katie Rees at Doniford Bay who increased their results by 187%.

We have had a very good suggestion for next year which is that we should make it a stipulation that you have to equal or increase the amount raised year on year to qualify for the prize.
