Great Holidays in Hastings

Hastings, with its rich history and beautiful coastline, has always been one of the most famous of Sussex’s seaside resorts. You can be sure that there’ll be plenty to do for all the family, whatever the weather and whatever your preference.

Any holiday in Hastings is bound to feature East Sussex’s fabulous coast, with long stretches of beach and cliffs at famous locations like Beachy Head, Eastbourne, and of course Hastings itself. These spectacular attractions offer views, walks, hours of beachside fun and even archaeology!
Bodiam Castle in East Sussex

The town of Hastings offers both the attractions of a traditional seaside and something a little different. As well as the beach and pier, there is a large, attractive country park to explore, plus the cliff railway and castle offering spectacular views over the whole area.

Being at the heart of 1066 country, there are of course many famous historical sites to visit, from Norman’s Bay and Pevensey Castle near to where William the Conqueror landed, to Hastings and Battle itself, where the decisive Battle of Hastings took place nearly a thousand years ago.

For those seeking something completely different, how about a trip to the Blue Reef Aquarium or Drusillas Park? The aquarium possesses a great array of sea life from around the world, while Drusillas boasts hundreds of fascinating and entertaining creatures and Thomas the Tank Engine, making it the number one attraction in Sussex for days out with the kids.

As a base to get out and explore this wonderful corner of England, Combe Haven Holiday Park in Hastings is perfect. It can offer indoor and outdoor pools, sports and splash activities and a great range of family entertainment.
