To kick-start their holiday, each family will receive a free goodie bag of books and magazines – worth over £50, plus lots of extra fun including an exclusive “Winnie the Witch” show and “Where’s Wally” hunt and fancy dress competition. The escapes are being run between 31 July and 21 August across the country from Devon Cliffs in the south west to Haggerston Castle in Northumberland, so there are still plenty of chances to get involved.
The campaign is designed to encourage guests to read more books in their everyday lives, and with something in the goodie bags for all the family, including books by Katie Fforde and Jeremy Clarkson, it’s not just children who will enjoy curling up with a good book during the holiday.
