Holiday Finder
This is a dramatic country – not just in scenery but in its culture, history and heritage. It may not be big, but Scotland has many treasures crammed into its compact territory.

The grand old cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow are steeped in tradition – and are dynamic modern cities in their own right. Each August, the Edinburgh Festival puts a global spotlight on the nation’s arts scene. And smaller Scottish cities such as Dundee and Aberdeen also have their charms.

St Andrews, the spiritual home of golf, and the chance to play on some of Ayrshire’s world-renowned courses give Scotland a well-deserved reputation for the best golfing holidays on the planet.

But the beauty of the landscape and coast is what attracts most visitors – from the romance of Loch Lomond and intrigue of Loch Ness to the scenic glens, wild mountain ranges and unspoilt beaches. Wildlife watchers can enjoy spotting seals, otters, eagles, whales and dolphins.

Then there are the world-famous Scotch whisky distilleries to explore...177
