Holiday park in Essex

All the pleasures of the traditional seaside are here on this sunny coastline – and just an hour or so from London. It seems the only way is Essex!

Holiday Finder
From the award-winning beaches and seafront gardens of Clacton-on-Sea to the historic port of Harwich, there’s more to a holiday park in Essex than you might think. It has picturesque villages and unspoilt country landscapes – from the Stour Valley to the north and the River Colne to the south.

With more than 36 miles of coastline, the sandy beaches here have Quality Coast Awards and Blue Flag Awards. Essex also has one of the sunniest climates in the country and the lowest rainfall in the UK. And the locals are friendly, too –Clacton-on-Sea recently topped the ‘Top 10 holiday friendly destinations in the country’ according to a major nationwide survey.

There’s a strong maritime history in Essex, especially for towns like Brightlingsea, Harwich, Dovercourt, Manningtree and Mistley. And another legacy of the Essex Sunshine Coast is the Martello Towers. This line of defensive fortresses dotted along the coast in Walton-on-the-Naze, Clacton-on-Sea, Jaywick and Point Clear was built to resist a potential invasion by Napoleon.295

A complete contrast to the buzz of nearby Clacton, The Orchards setting, near the pretty Essex village of St. Osyth and by the water’s edge, is a haven of tranquillity. There’s plenty of the usual Haven facilities here including a terrific outdoor pool and sun terrace by the Mash and Barrel Lounge-Bar-Café. Plus, there’s also the option to enjoy fishing on one of the two fabulous fresh water lakes or a round or two of golf on the Park’s very own course. OR why not try camping in Essex, and bring your own tourer or tent and stay in one of Essex's best campsites.
