Take a flying leap at our fun and games, and get a piece of the action...

Ever seen Grandad with a bow and arrow? You soon will! We offer fun activities for every age – yes, even archery and fencing. And best of all, you can all learn together. So, go on, get in some family target practice. Or try to keep up with your little Tarzans on our climbing walls and ropes courses. We have grassy spots for impromptu games of cricket and rounders. You can play hockey on the beach, practise your football and tennis skills – or spend the afternoon on the golf course.

      We’ve got all the sports equipment and facilities you could ever need, but some things you might want someone qualified to show you the ropes. That’s why we have lots of capable sports coaches who are able to teach you the basics or help you improve your game.

              9-hole golf course

              9-hole golf course

              Take a break from the stress of it all and play a round on our beautifully maintained golf courses. Try for a hole in one, or even an albatross, at one of our 11 parks where you’ll find a golf course. Clubs are available for hire but you’re welcome to bring your own as well. Costs may vary by park and this activity is suitable for ages five and over. You’ll find 9-hole courses at Craig Tara, Seton Sands, Haggerston Castle, Reighton Sands, Thorpe Park, Hopton, The Orchards, Allhallows, Church Farm and Lakeland. And at Berwick you’re more than welcome to use the 18-hole course next to the park. Will you be on par?

              Adventure golf

              It’s pretty much crazy golf but bigger, crazier and more exciting! Bring your putter to the green, place your ball and off you go. Be wary – there are different routes that the ball can take and with each one having more obstacles to tackle it might not be as easy as you think. So plan your stroke with care! This will certainly keep the novice players on par with the pros in the family. It’s suitable for all ages and costs may vary. You’ll find our adventure golf courses at Haggerston Castle, Thorpe Park, Hopton, Littlesea, Devon Cliffs, Perran Sands, Hafan y Môr, Presthaven, Marton Mere and Cala Gran.

              Do you like a challenge and want to push yourself to new heights? Then this adventure is perfect for you. Scale up to the platform, keep your safety line to hand as you watch your step on this gravity defying adrenaline charged high-ropes course. You’ll find Aerial Adventure at Haggerston Castle, Devon Cliffs, Hafan y Môr and Presthaven. It’s suitable for six years and over and all kids need to bring along is a brave adult (height restrictions may apply).

              Come rain or sunshine we can always promise a place where you’ll be able to release some energy and have lots of fun. Most of our parks have sports courts designed with an all-weather surface, so the fun doesn’t need to stop because of the weather. Whether your game of choice is football, basketball or rounders, we have the perfect place for you and your family to play. You’ll find this great facility at all of our parks except Seton Sands, Haggerston Castle, Reighton Sands, Wild Duck, The Orchards, Allhallows, Seaview, Weymouth Bay, Littlesea, Riviere Sands, Perran Sands, Kiln Park, Lydstep Beach, Quay West, Cala Gran and Lakeland.

              Got a strong arm and steady eye? Why not become a bowman for the day? With help from our expert instructors you’ll be firing like Robin Hood in no time. Our archery sessions are for kids aged six and over and you’ll find them across all of our parks. There’s a cost of £8 but we promise by the end of your session you’ll know your nock from your quiver in no time. So keep your eye keen, draw back that bow and let’s hit the bullseye!

              Want to get competitive on the court? We have racquets and shuttlecocks for hire, so let’s see who has the best shot. You’ll find badminton at Craig Tara and Hafan y Môr.               There’s nothing better than soaking up the beautiful views whilst riding on a bike. Let the wind whip through your hair as you explore our surrounding acreage. We have big bikes, little ones, bikes with stabilisers and all the ones in between – so no one needs to be left behind. You can find bike hire on some of our parks: Caister-on-Sea, Seashore, Wild Duck, Church Farm, Rockley Farm and Lakeland. Come rain or shine you can explore our stunning surroundings.               Who doesn’t love bouncing on a trampoline? We’re certain your little ones will love bouncing around for ages. Get them to pop on a harness and attach the elastic bungee cord — all with our expert’s help of course — and watch them reach for the sky. They can really go wild if they wish as our bungee cord will stop them flying away. And our friendly instructors will be on hand to make sure your little ones stay safe. Navigate around the holes carefully as each one is different to the last and has its own surprises, traps and obstacles you’ll have to overcome. Progress through and the winner could be you!               “It’s a bullseye” was the saying, but we’ll have you shouting 180! In this classic pub game that’s fun for all the family. Take your darts and launch them at the board, add your points and subtract them from your target total; don’t forget to finish on a double or bull to win or you’ll be bust. ʽ301’ or ʽ501’ are the traditional games but there’s also ʽRound the clock’ and ʽShanghai’ too. This fun activity is available throughout the season at Caister-on-Sea, Combe Haven, Church Farm and Cala Gran.

              Easy gliders

              Easy gliders

              Inside some of our multi-sports courts you’ll find some curious looking electric powered scooters called Easy Gliders. They weave in and out of the obstacle course so smoothly it’s like riding a snowboard without the snow! You can try these great scooters at Berwick, Blue Dolphin, Primrose Valley, Thorpe Park, Golden Sands, Caister-on-Sea, Seashore, The Orchards, Allhallows, Combe Haven, Church Farm, Rockley Park, Perran Sands, Doniford Bay, Burnham-on-Sea, Presthaven, Marton Mere and Lakeland. So if you’re between eight and fifteen years old, be sure to give them a go.

              Not ready for the challenge of crazy golf just yet – or do you just want to practice before the big game? We have small grass courses where you can make short chip shots onto the green. Sounds nice and easy don’t you think? Bring along all the family – you’ll find our pitch and putt courses at: Combe Haven, Reighton Sands, The Orchards and Thorpe Park. It’s available all season and costs vary per park.

              En garde! Pop on those masks and protect yourselves with the padding – we want to see your best cross swords and parry attacks. Our friendly instructors will make sure that the kids (and you too) have a great time and stay safe. Our fencing sessions cost £8. You’ll find our fencing on all of our parks (except Lydstep Beach) – so come and learn some epic sabre skills.

              Fishing

              You can really take it easy at our freshwater (Blue Dolphin and Primrose Valley) and coarse fishing lakes (Thorpe Park, Golden sands, The Orchards, Allhallows and Burnham-on-Sea). Relax on the banks and enjoy all the surrounding beauty of our park – all you have to do is bring your own rod and licence along with you. Costs vary per park. Don’t forget to pack a lunch and you can even bring the kids too, if they’re aged five and over.

              French boules

              French boules

              Oo-la-la Monsieurs’ and Mademoiselles’ – who’s for a game of French boules? Bring along all the family and join in the fun. This game is perfect for all the family, cost does vary by park, and you can find this game at Burnham-on-Sea or Doniford Bay. Unlike our traditional bowls there’s no lawn involved; it’s played on sand so your technique is key. You can point, shoot or lob your boule at the jack – how continental!

              FunWorks arcade

              These great amusements are available on all of our parks (except Lydstep Beach). Try and beat dad to first place with our driving simulators or see who scores top on our air hockey tables; maybe even grab a teddy with the crane claws? With all this and more it’s a whole afternoon’s worth of great entertainment to be had. Ages and cost does depend on the activity you choose.

              Go karts

              Think you’re the next Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button? Then take to your engines and battle for pole position. Complete with our very own go kart tracks and tyre barriers – all you have to do is pop on your safety helmet and get behind the wheel. Age restrictions do vary from park to park depending on what types of karts are available. You can find our go karts on a handful of our parks, including: Craig Tara, Golden Sands, Hafan y Môr, Presthaven Sands and Primrose Valley.

              Horse riding

              You’ve heard it straight from the horse’s mouth – there’s no better way to explore our beautiful woods than taking all the family for a pony trek. And for kids aged between seven and 15 we have a special session which includes a half hour trek with tuition from our experts. They will also have the chance to help out at the stables – all topped off with a certificate and a photograph to treasure their special day! You can only find this unique experience at Haggerston Castle and prices do vary by experience. Please note this activity is run by an external company.

              Indoor SportsDrome

              When the sun runs away and the heavens open up, our indoor SportsDromes have plenty of activities to keep the kids busy. Our large spaces at Craig Tara, Blue Dolphin, Combe Haven, Hafan y Môr and Presthaven sands offer plenty of sporty activities such as roller discos, fencing and archery. They’re only usually open when activities are taking place, so make sure you get booked in.

              Jacob's Ladder

              Jacob's Ladder

              This one isn’t for the faint hearted, but if you like a challenge our Jacob’s Ladder at Primrose Valley is waiting for all you dare-devils out there. Our monster rope ladder looks like it’s been built for a giant. With each rung separated three feet apart and only your harness and safety rope to hand, how far will you get to the top? This challenge is suitable for ages seven and over, so bring along Dad and let’s see who can reach the top first!

              Take a break from walking or driving around the park and put your pedal power to the test. Hire one of our karts and see what a nice change it makes. This activity is available at all parks (except Berwick, Haggerston Castle, Reighton Sands, Combe Haven, Rockley Park, Seaview, Littlesea, Devon Cliffs, Lydstep Beach and Quay West). Our family karts come with the choice of two or four seats, but keep an eye on those cheeky monkey’s – they may leave you to do all the pedalling!

              Become part of a team in the attempt to score points by tagging targets in this fun outdoor game. You’ll be using our awesome infrared signalling technology and covert cover where you can capture the flag and return it to base, protect the VIP from the opposing team, or even win the match! You’ll find Laser Combat at Craig Tara, it’s great for kids aged 5 and over and runs all season so just perfect for those rainy days.

              Get all the family together, step to the rink and let’s aim for the jack. This classic family sport is perfect for some light evening exercise.               One small step for man, one giant leap for you. We’ll kit you up with all your safety gear so you can climb up to the leap platform. From here there’s only one way off and that’s down! Take a deep breath and look at the beautiful views. You’ll need a bit of courage as you leap forward and reach for the hanging bar – will you be able to grab it? Leap of Faith is suitable for ages seven and over. You can find this great challenge at Cala Gran, Devon Cliffs, Doniford Bay, Primrose Valley, Seashore and Thorpe Park throughout the season.

              Bumper cars but on water — how cool is that? Your little ones will love being their own captain and whooshing around our boat pool. They’ll even have their very own specially designed mini bumper boat. They’re brightly coloured and easy to steer so your kids will feel totally safe to let loose and enjoy themselves. You’ll find this activity at Seashore and Rockley Park and it costs £5. It’s on all season and perfect for kids between three and seven.

              New for 2015 - Can you score like Suarez or defend like Silva? Show us your saves and finishes at our very own Football Academy. Learn new skills from our sports coaches — they’ll teach you tips and tricks before getting you into a real game. We’ll award prizes and certificates to all those taking part. If your little ones are aged between five and 16 we have separate classes for different age groups. You’ll find our academy on all of our parks (except Reighton Sands, Riviere Sands and Lydstep Beach). So don’t forget your football kit and let’s see who can bend it like Beckham!

              Take a relaxing break from all the hustle and bustle in one of our Pedalos and drift slowly across the water. Sail at whatever speed you wish; it’s so simple to control you can go forwards, backwards, left and right. Everyone in the family is welcome; it's a 30 minute session and is available at Craig Tara, Haggerston Castle, Primrose Valley, Burnham-on-Sea and Hafan y Môr. So zip up your jackets and get Grandma involved in some peaceful paddling.

              This is exactly what it says on the tin. Come along to our indoor craft studio and pick out your own piece of pottery to decorate. You can choose between potted animals, jugs, jars and vases. Then add your own creative detail by using the paint provided — you can even finish off with a glaze if you wish. Leave it to dry and collect it a little later to take home with you as a memento of your holiday. This creative activity is suitable for all the family and available at Craig Tara, Berwick, Blue Dolphin, Primrose Valley, Thorpe Park, Rockley Park, Devon Cliffs, Perran Sands, Hafan y Môr, Presthaven, Marton Mere and Lakeland.               This game is fun for all the family, whatever your age. Chalk the cue, rack ‘em up and show off your skills as you teach the kids how to play; you can even master those trick shots. It’s all about keeping a steady aim and your eye true, just don’t accidently pot the black!               Roller blading

              Roller blading

              Lace up your blades and get on the floor. Your balance, co-ordination and control will be tested at Blue Dolphin, Littlesea, Perran Sands and Presthaven, but with a little practice you’ll be off on your own. We’ll even take you back in time with our roller discos at Craig Tara, Combe Haven and Hafan y Môr, providing bright lights and funky tunes so you can really show off your moves. If you need a bit more stability then grab a pair of wider-based roller skates at Caister-on-Sea. The more the merrier — so bring along the whole family and let the good times roll!

              Climb, balance and swing your way through our mid-air high ropes obstacle courses. You can find this great activity at Haggerston Castle, Primrose Valley, Golden Sands, Rockley Park, Burnham-on-Sea and Doniford Bay. Our ropes courses are suitable for ages seven and over and prices vary from park to park. All kids need to bring a grown-up with them and height restrictions may apply.

              Kids love sand and paint, so we’ve combined the two in this great fun activity. We’ll even clean up afterwards so you have nothing to worry about. Imagination and creativity can really go wild as kids make their very own colourful sand art. And the best bit is they can take their masterpiece home to treasure forever. It’s suitable for all ages and costs do vary. You can find Sand Art on all of our parks and across the whole season – perfect for those rainy days.

              Family time is the most treasured and fun time. So grab your rain macs, sunscreen and comfy shoes and join in our seaside games. It’s the best excuse to get the kids off their phones and tablets and create some precious memories together. We have plenty of team games for everyone such as Frisbee, rounders and Kwik cricket. Our seaside games are totally free, available at all parks (except Lydstep Beach and Cala Gran) and as long as the little ones are aged three and over everyone’s welcome.

              Segways

              Segways

              Glide along our pretty park pathways on one of our fantastic segways. With its brilliant technology, all you have to do is lean in the direction you want to move – and whoosh you’re off! Our helpful and friendly instructors will show you how to master this great form of transportation. And once you feel confident enough you can test yourself on our challenge course. You’ll be learning all together in groups of five per session and you’ll need to be 14 or over. It takes place at Craig Tara, Haggerston Castle, Devon Cliffs and Hafan y Môr.

              Each of our park’s sports fields is unique in its own way and you can find one at Seaview, Weymouth Bay, Kiln Park and Lakeland. Get all the family together for a game of rounders, make daisy chains with the little ones or just simply relax as you watch the kids have fun. The ground is softer compared to our sports courts, so it’s the perfect place for the young ones to find their feet.

              Table tennis

              This fast paced game takes seconds to learn but a lifetime to master. Join all your friends and family for this great game that demands quick reactions and a steady hand. Whether you’re playing singles or doubles it’s suitable for all the family and totally free. You can find table tennis on a handful of our parks: Devon Cliffs, Doniford Bay, Burnham-on-Sea, Hopton and Rockley Park. A perfect game for those rainy days.

              Get your hands on a classic .177 calibre air rifle and take out the targets. With our expert instructors guiding you with every step we can guarantee you’ll be in safe hands. As you’d expect you need to be ten or over and all kids need to be with a responsible adult. This activity is available at all parks (except Lydstep Beach). Ready, aim, fire!

              Enjoy a spot of friendly competition with the whole family on our tennis courts. You can find them at Haggerston Castle, Primrose Valley, Hopton, Allhallows, Church Farm, Rockley Park, Littlesea, Doniford Bay, Burnham-on-Sea, Kiln Park, Lydstep Beach, Quay West and Lakeland. Whether you’re playing singles or doubles, all you need to bring is the racquets and balls. But don’t worry if you haven’t got any, we can supply both, there’s just a small deposit to pay. Strawberries and cream anyone?

              Verticale challenge

              Onwards and upwards, can you make it to the top? This vertical assault course is yours for the taking. Clamber over cargo nets, take on the wonky ladder and squeeze through the tyre rings in this super-charged energetic activity. Vertical challenge is perfect for ages seven and over. You can find this at Cala Gran and it runs throughout the season.

              Want to feel that adrenaline rush? Come and climb the steps, let us hook your harness, take a deep breath and zoom down our zip wires at super speeds! This activity is suitable for seven years and over. You can find the zip wires at Caister-on-Sea, Burnham-on-Sea, Primrose Valley, Doniford Bay, Reighton Sands, Quay West and Thorpe Park – they run all season and kids need to bring an adult with them too.
